MUSIC VIDEO: If I Were a Boy

Republic Records signed eighteen year-old Angelina Jordan, a star in Norway since the age of seven and America’s Got Talent: The Champions finalist at thirteen, teamed up with Grammy-winning writer/producer Toby Gad to cover "If I Were a Boy", the global smash originally penned by Gad for Beyonce. Directed by Tom Ewbank, this beautiful video was produced in just seven days from first contact with the client to release.

BRANDED: Into the Wild

We're incredibly lucky at Sound Bites Studios, working in entertainment means pretty much all the briefs we receive generate excitement for both the crews producing it and the fans watching the final assets. However, every now and then one comes along that ventures into 'dream project' territory. In April we produced a live music show at a reservoir at the top of a peak in the Welsh Snowdonia mountain range featuring some of the most spine tingling natural acoustic we'll ever experience. Partnering with Columbia Outdoor Clothing and Sofar Sounds for 'Hike Fest', a celebration of hiking and music, we saw 250 people set off in the early hours on one of ten different trails, converging at the Ffynnon Llugwy reservoir many miles later. Weary participants were treated to performances from Jack Cullen and Alice Boyd, powered by solar generators and happiness.

MUSIC VIDEO: Stepping Into Christmas

After a busy few weeks chasing immovable deadlines, dictated by a man in a red and white suit, we're signing off the year with a bang.

First up, is our old favourite, Sir Elton John and the refreshed video for Step Into Christmas. Taking inspiration from the 2006 movie Deck The Halls, we used elements of the 1974 original music video. A painstaking task, expertly overseen by Merlin Perry, made it out in time for early December. The silky-smooth voice of George Ezra lends itself to laidback Christmas schmaltz, so it's no surprise his cover of White Christmas hits all the right notes. The video, created by new talent, Frankie Waugh, is a fun, festive play on the single artwork. Frankie Waugh was busy again, developing a unique style which is already in high demand for her versions of Jona Lewie, Stop the Cavalry and (appropriately) Frankie Goes To Hollywood's The Power of Love for Universal Music Recordings. Finally, as part of our long-term campaign with pop starlet, Gracey, we helped her reimagine The Pretenders 2000 Miles.
